What can one say? I knew much about German POW in Russia, but nothing about
Japanese. I'm glad I discovered this site, may it remind us all of the dread and
horror of war. "Never forgotten, never again". I thank you for the
lesson i've learned and I wish you all the best, sir, may you experience all the
happyness you've been deprived back then.
(desert_jin, Switzerland 2.7.2008 )
Thank you, desert_jin. My father wanted to tell "All people are equal" on this site.
And, my father wanted to insist that everyone be same human even if the country and
the standpoint were different.

Thank you, ta-ta. But, I'm sorry. I can't read Russian language.
I am very happy for the message from Russia.

(Marina, Italy 2.7.2008 )
Thank you, Marina. My father says "The world common people are all the good
people". And my father says "gentle hearts brings peace".

What a wonderful insight into a part of history which (to most British) is
completely unknown. Remarkable (and often beautiful) images
(Andrew Lane, UK 2.8.2008 )
Thank you, Mr. Lane. From World War II, long time passed.
This history may be forgotten to a Japanese too. I want to convey the history with a picture of my father.

I truly appreciate your images. My family comes from Ukraine, and I am glad
to see the average villager was a good person. Perhaps the most touching image
and thought is the Wrestling image, where "All Men are Good..."
I think this says more about the average man caught in ideological wars and
their horrible results. I thank you very much for placing this wonderful diary
online. All the best to you.
( Paul Zdepski http://www.zillustration.com,
USA 1.3.2008 )
Thank you, Mr. Zdepski. "All Men are Good..." This is a important
words in my father. As you noticed, the theme of my father's picture is the humanity.
My father always hopes world peace. And I hope my father's picture is useful for peace in the world of the
future.

Thank you for this wonderful site -- it's truly moving. I often wonder
about the relationship between two countries after a conflict... this site
reinforces the idea that the most important thing is to remain human. I
wish you and your father all the best for the future.
( Misha http://serious-sam.net

Thank you for attaching the words of thanks in Japanese for my father.
"World is full of friends". This is a true message of my father.
( Masato Kiuchi, site creator )
Thank you so much for making it possible for others to see your father's
artwork, it is so moving. The drawings are so kind and even humorous, it is even
surprising how an ex-prisoner of war holds no grudge against the country he
fought against. And it is so nice to read that after all, people were - on a
large scale - kind to each other, even in such situation. In the end there
should always be peace.
( Evgeniy, Russia 8.29.2007 )
Thank you, Evgeniy. My father always tell "Because the leader of each country which began war is bad, all the general people are good people". And my father always hopes for world peace.

( Maria, Russia 8.29.2007 )
Thank you, Maria. But, I'm sorry. I can't read Russian language.
I am very happy for the message from Russia.
